【摘要】:ThisSAEStandardestablishesthetestprocedure,environment,andinstrumentationtobeusedformeasuringtheexhaustsoundlevelforpassengercars,multipurposevehicles,andlighttrucksunderstationaryconditions.Measurementsaretakenundersteady-stateconditions.Inthisrespect,thisprocedurediffersfromISO5130whichincludesmeasurementsunderthedynamicconditionsofanenginedeceleration.Thissoundlevelmeasurementprocedurehasbeendevelopedasaguideforgovernmentalagenciesestablishingvehiclein-servicesoundlevelregulationsandenforcementmeasurementprocedures.Itisdirectedattheassessmentofvehicleexhaustnoiseandisnotintendedtodeterminemaximumvehiclesoundlevels.
