【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesafieldprocedurefordeterminingtheairleakageratesofinstalledexteriorwindowsanddoors.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoexteriorwindowsanddoorsandisintendedtomeasureonlysuchleakageassociatedwiththeassemblyandnottheleakagethroughopeningsbetweentheassembliesandadjacentconstruction.Thetestmethodcanbeadaptedforthelatterpurpose,providedthepotentialpathsofairmovementandthesourcesofinfiltrationandexfiltrationcanbeidentified,controlled,oreliminated.Thistestmethodattemptstocreateandgivensetofnaturalenvironmentalconditions.Thereisastrongpossibilitythatthetestmethodorthetestapparatusmay,byvirtueoftheirdesignanduse,induceairleakagethatdoesnotoccurundernaturalenvironmentalexposure.Thistestmethodisintendedforthefieldtestingofinstalledexteriorwindowsordoors.PersonsinterestedinlaboratorytestingoffenestrationproductsshouldreferenceTestMethodE283.Personsusingthisprocedureshouldbeknowledgeableintheareaoffluidmechanicsandinstrumentationpractices,andshallhaveageneralunderstandingoffenestrationproductsandcomponents.Throughoutthistestmethod,SIunitsarelistedfirstinaccordancewithE-6metricpolicy,andshallbeconsideredtheprimaryunits.Non-SIunitsareprovidedinparenthesis.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection7.
