【摘要】:Thistestmethodisnotabsolutebutdoesgiveanindicationoftheusefulshelf-lifeofaliquidwater-emulsionfloorpolish.Willindicatewhetherapolishwillgelorremainausableliquidoverthedesiredstoragelifeoftheproduct.Itshouldbenotedthatpolishesofdifferentcompositiontypeswillvaryinusefulstoragelifeunderidenticalstorageconditions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthestoragestabilityofliquidwater-emulsionfloorpolishes.1.2Storagefor30daysat52x00B0;C(125x00B0;F),whilenotaguaranteeofoneyearstabilityat21x00B0;C(70x00B0;F),isbelievedtobeamorereliableindicatorofstoragestabilitythansimilartestsofshorterduration.Note18212;The60x00B0;specularglossonblackglassdeterminedbyTestMethodD1455,maybeusedtoconfirmthisobservation.Asubstantialdifferenceinglossbetweenagedandunagedsamplesisanindicationofinstability.Ashelfstabilityofoneyearcanbereasonablyexpectedofthematerialinquestionifduplicatesamplesremainunchangedfor30daysat52x00B1;1.1x00B0;C(125x00B1;2x00B0;F).Ifoneorbothduplicatesshowmorethanslightviscosityincreasesorslightcreaming,otherevidenceofstabilitymustbesought.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
