【摘要】:Evaluationofsagresistanceisessentialinqualitycontrolforbothproducersandpurchasersofcoatings.Practicalapplicationtestsarepoorinreproducibility,whileviscometricmethods,forexampleTestMethodsD2196,aretime-consumingandlacktheconvincingaspectofactualsagging.Thismethodprovidessimpleandrapidtests,wherebysagresistanceisdemonstratedbyavisiblesagpattern,andisratedobjectivelyintermsofnumericalvaluesthatcorrelatewithbrushouttestobservations.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationofthesagresistanceofaqueousandnonaqueousliquidcoatingsatanylevelofsagresistance.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
